We are seeking a Technical Architect to define and govern the end-to-end architecture phase for a Salesforce migration to Alibaba Cloud. This role is critical in ensuring platform scalability, compliance with China-specific constraints, and successful deployment of Salesforce and Kaptio components within the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Define target architecture for Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud, including integrations and data flows
- Lead design of migration approach, including metadata, data, and integration layers
- Architect deployment of Kaptio API and service layer within Alibaba Cloud infrastructure
- Ensure compatibility of Salesforce managed packages within the target environment
- Define integration patterns (event-driven, asynchronous) for cross-border and in-country systems
- Govern technical design decisions and ensure alignment with performance and security requirements
- Collaborate with client’s infrastructure and middleware teams related to Alibaba Cloud
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 8+ years of Salesforce architecture experience (Application or Technical Architect level)
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform (Apex, integrations, data model, security).
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex system integrations
- Experience with large-scale data migration and platform transformation
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud
- Familiarity with China-specific constraints (ICP, firewall, latency, banned services)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with complex managed packages and ISV architectures
- Experience with high-volume transactional systems (e.g., booking, payments)
- Travel & Hospitality domain experience (booking, reservations, pricing, inventory)
Skills & Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (strongly preferred)
- Strong system design and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to balance pragmatism with architectural rigor
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and environment management strategies
