Job Description:
• Providing overall underwriting excellence through management and tactical direction for Cyber Liability lines of business
• Directing the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives for the Cyber Liability lines
• Delegating underwriting authority
• Approving underwriting referrals
• Taking action to achieve desired underwriting performance and efficiency
• Assessing risk tolerance, market conditions, and emerging risk issues
• Conducting internal underwriting peer reviews to ensure corporate guidelines and best practices are being met
• Serving as the liaison with carrier partners, including reinsurers, regarding underwriting matters
• Identifying new underwriting opportunities
Requirements:
• Mastery of underwriting discipline and knowledge in the insurance field
• Master communication skills critical to building consensus
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Senior level knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, and services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent
• Typically a minimum of 15 years of related work experience, with 10 years management experience
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
