Join Allegiant Airlines as a Flight Operations Performance Engineer and play a vital role in optimizing our flight activities! In this remote-based position, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, leveraging your analytical skills to drive efficiency and safety. You will be responsible for analyzing flight performance data, developing and maintaining key operational tools, and collaborating with various teams to enhance our processes. Responsibilities include: Maintaining departure and arrival performance data, including impediment data, OEI methodology, and MEL performance penalties. Developing and maintaining SCAP (Normalized PC Airplane Performance) modules and interfaces. Collaborating with external vendors to maintain network W&B and performance systems. Providing oversight of network Flight Operations manuals and procedures. Supporting the upkeep and Flight Operations in weight and balance tasks. Developing and maintaining network RNAV visual systems. Maintaining oversight of network navigation databases and flight procedures. Liaising with flight crews to identify areas for process improvement. Using PC-based tools to break down airplane performance for all phases of flight. Serving as the SME for Safety investigations. Assisting in the implementation of sustainability measures and representation of Flight Operations in the Fuel Controlling Panel. Providing expertise to flight scheduling systems and facilities. Modeling Allegiant's customer service standards in private operations and while providing guidance. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related technical field. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in airplane operational efficiency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programming and knowledge of C#, Visual C, Visual Basic, and FORTRAN. Understanding of 14 CFR Parts 25 and 121 Airplane Performance Restrictions and Requirements. Knowledge of A320/B737 family airplane weight and balance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in project management. Experience in managing external vendors. Understanding of airplane flight envelopes and briefings per FAA AC 120-27. Preferred Qualifications: Pilot's license.
