Staff Software Engineer (REMOTE)

Key Responsibilities & Job Description: • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software. • Take a broad view when approaching issues; using a global lens; consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances. • Develop test suites (functional, destructive, etc.) to enable success, rapid deployment of code to production. • Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm. • Actively seek ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels. • Learn through successful and failed experiment when tackling new problems. • Create new and better ways for the organization to be successful. • Deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. • Work with the Product Team to ensure user stories are developer ready, easy to understand and testable. • Collaborate with other team members in agile processes. Relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people. • Adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations. • Field questions from product and engineering teams. Help grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks, and leading technical discussions. • Note gaps on the team and provide suggestions for changes to make the team more productive. • Telecommuting available. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be eighteen years of age or older. • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; and 5 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. • Requires 5 years of experience involving each of the following: Key Responsibilities & Job Description: 1. Shell Scripting; 2. SQL; 3. Cloud Technologies; 4. Teradata; 5. Microsoft SQL Server; 6. GitHub; 7. Hadoop; 8. Jenkins CICD.
