Sr. Art Director, Motion (Remote)

Job Summary: Marcom oversees all advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. The Art Director (AD), Motion Design, is responsible for crafting innovative and inspiring motion design solutions for Apple’s products, events and future consumer experiences. They choreograph the balance of graphic design, motion, music and editorial elements to pay off creative briefs and communicate Apple’s message. This requires broad experience in both designing creative solutions as well as ensuring the accurate implementation of creative intent though the executive review and production processes. Key Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience • Outstanding conceptual and problem-solving skills. • Skilled animator, designer and illustrator that has experience both pitching creative and leading production from concept to delivery. • Portfolio exhibiting thorough grasp of design principles, animation principles, motion theory, typography and visual communication. • Ability to conceive and articulate novel motion ideas both thru contemporary references as well as crafting animation yourself in tools such as After Effects, Cinema 4D or equivalent 3D software • Outstanding design skills with the ability to guide, evaluate, and if necessary, redirect creative development. • Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt quickly, capable of flexible creative problem solving in a rapidly changing environment • Thorough understanding of how design principles influence 3D and 2D production as they relate to motion content creation. Familiarity with Maya, Houdini and Nuke is a plus. Description: • Integral member of the creative team responsible for designing and directing the Motion Design Identity for Apple’s products, events and future consumer experiences. • Crafts innovative and inspiring campaigns that meet the requirements outlined in Apples creative briefs, while collaborating with partners and mentoring junior creatives • Builds relationships, rapport and credibility within their Motion Design team and with members of partner teams to ensure cross functional alignment of creative. • Prepares work for creative reviews with appropriate CD and ECD, gathering feedback on direction and ensuring work aligns with other projects within Apples Design community. • Dynamic communication style, capable of realtime creative problem solving in conversation and conveying a strong point of view for motion design solutions. • Contributes to planning and art directing projects from initial blue sky ideation through final delivery of production. • Responsible for helping define the Motion Identity of new product launches. • Ability to interpret vision from creative leadership and disseminate to a team of designers and animators. • Support and follow creative direction of the appropriate Associate Creative Director or Creative Director. Education: BA/BS preferred and at least 10+ years work experience in the creative and design field or the equivalent. • Hours may fluctuate based on projects needs Apply tot his job
