Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions for Apple's at-home integration features. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and UX designers, throughout the entire product lifecycle – from concept to launch and beyond. Contribute to the architecture and design of new features, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code in C++ and other relevant programming languages. Conduct thorough code reviews and participate in agile development methodologies. Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges related to spatial computing and device interaction. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software engineering, spatial computing, and related technologies. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the team and our products. Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and infrastructure. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 2+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Matlab. Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control (e.g., Git), and unit testing. Preferred Qualifications: Passion for exploring new technologies and a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional user experiences. Strong interest in technologies related to spatial awareness, proximity, and device interaction. Experience with data structures and algorithms, and a strong understanding of software design patterns. Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS) and/or application development. Knowledge of computer vision principles and techniques. Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Machine Learning (ML) concepts. Experience with wireless communication protocols (UWB, WiFi, BLE). Experience with embedded systems or hardware interaction. Essential Skills Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and OOP. Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Matlab. Deep understanding of proficient software engineering principles and best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and testing methodologies. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to exploring new technologies and delivering exceptional user experiences. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience with data analysis and interpretation. Bonus points for experience with various low-level innovations and data analysis techniques. Understanding of AI/Deep Learning is a plus.
