As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations. About the Role: Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems that calculate taxes for all Amazon income, physical and virtual, globally. Work with the team to drive business decisions and optimize services for value and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations to deliver high-quality software solutions. Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables. Write high-quality distributed system software and participate in code reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality. Requirements: 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 4+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language. 3+ years of experience in leading the design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems. Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team. Preferred Qualifications: 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
