They are seeking an Online Community Manager & Workshop Host to enhance member experiences by planning and hosting live online workshops and community sessions, while fostering engagement among music creators.
Responsibilities
• Be the face of the company via the Online Community and its live workshops
• Greet, welcome, and prepare guest speakers for all live workshops
• Host live online workshops and community sessions on camera
• Introduce speakers, set expectations and hold the space for members during sessions
• Share basic housekeeping and support information at the start and end of each event
• Moderate live chat and interactions
• Create and maintain an effective welcoming & onboarding experience for new members
• Create and publish engaging posts to encourage discussion and interaction inside the online community
• Support the Head of Community with daily moderation across platforms
• Keep discussions active, kind and on topic
• Flag member issues, risks or concerns quickly and clearly
• Track and report on live attendance, engagement and basic feedback for each session
• Share clear member insights and suggestions with the Online Community Team
• Work proactively with teams across Musiversal to ensure each workshop has clear descriptions, thumbnails and member communications in place before it goes live
• Take initiative on improvements to the online community experience and follow through on them
Skills
• Enjoy being on camera and are an empathetic & energetic communicator
• Have star quality, but you enjoy making others feel like the real stars (a facilitator)
• Have experience managing online communities like Facebook Groups, Discord servers, Circle, Bettermode or similar platforms
• Are able to communicate clearly with members and help people feel welcome and included
• Can identify community member objections and come up with strategies to address them
• Can write clear, engaging copy across different formats and channels such as event descriptions, announcements, and emails
• Are happy to get stuck in with day to day moderation, questions and member support
• Are kind, honest and easy to collaborate with across teams
• Are motivated by purpose and interested in helping musicians move forward
• Are used to working in fast-paced environments where things can change quickly
• You thrive in remote work settings and love the flexibility it brings
• Have a background in music, or strong hands on experience as a musician or creator
• You're passionate about music, tech, or creator communities – ideally, all three!
• Are fluent in written and spoken English
