Remote Hybrid Bookkeeper with DCAA Compliance Expertise
Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team, contributing to the effective management of our financial systems. Leveraging your proficiency in DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) regulations, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust financial processes. Initially, this position is offered on a part-time basis, with the promising potential for a transition to full-time employment based on performance and business requirements. You will be tasked with setting up and managing QuickBooks accounts for our primary company and two affiliated entities.
Key Responsibilities
? Establish and oversee QuickBooks Online accounts for multiple entities (one primary company and two affiliates).
? Guarantee compliance with all accounting practices according to DCAA guidelines.
? Execute routine bookkeeping duties including recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and tracking expenditures.
? Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
? Prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and maintain well-organized financial records.
? Identify opportunities to enhance financial operations and propose improvements.
Required Skills
? Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping, with a thorough understanding of DCAA regulations.
? Proficient in QuickBooks Online, especially in account setup and management.
? Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
? Strong communication abilities and a collaborative team mindset.
? Self-driven with the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
? Flexibility to commence in a part-time capacity, with the option to transition to full-time as the organization expands.
? Must reside in Houston, TX (remote work).
Qualifications
? Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly within DCAA-regulated environments.
? Proficiency in QuickBooks Online software.
? Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
