As we expand our product capabilities, we are seeking a talented Android Engineer to help scale and refine our mobile applications. About the Role We are looking for a skilled Android Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to build and maintain high-performance Android applications that power loyalty programs and digital marketing experiences for major brands. This is a remote role open to candidates based in Latin America . Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver seamless user experiences Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions Requirements 5+ years of professional Android development experience Proficient in Kotlin and Java Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle Experience with Android TV or Fire TV Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and SDK integrations Strong grasp of Android design principles , Material Design , and best practices Familiarity with version control tools like Git Experience with CI/CD , automated testing, and tools like JUnit , Espresso , or Mockito is a plus Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely with a distributed team Nice to Have Experience working with mobile loyalty or marketing platforms Background in eCommerce, digital wallets, or customer rewards Familiarity with analytics SDKs, push notification systems, or in-app messaging
