Data Engineer About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our engineering team at one of our clients in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers our legal research platform. Responsibilities: Design and optimize the database schema, leveraging Postgres and Elasticsearch Develop data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load legal research data Implement efficient querying and indexing strategies to power the search and analytics functionality Monitor database performance and implement optimizations as needed Work closely with the full-stack engineers to ensure the data layer supports the product requirements. Requirements: 2+ years of experience working with databases, particularly Postgres Familiarity with Elasticsearch is a plus Strong SQL and data modeling skills Experience building data pipelines and optimizing database performance Startup experience is a strong plus Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities This is a fully onsite role in our New York office. Competitive compensation based on experience. Salary Range: $150-170K/Annually
