The Membership Data Specialist will manage membership information, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the membership database, while also collaborating with teams to enhance processes and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Process membership applications, renewals, payments, and record changes in a timely manner and according to policy
- Responsible for assisting with testing operational upgrades to ensure accuracy before being released
- Analyze membership data and processes for issues and provide a root cause analysis, taking appropriate action to correct the issue
- Work with team and management to ensure policy and procedures are updated
- Communicate with customers regarding payment issues
- Responsible for coordinating the billing process with vendors and internal teams
- Proactively identify and resolve needs and issues, collaborating with stakeholders as needed, and effectively communicate results
- Prioritize collaboration with the team to coordinate all work, ensuring tasks are aligned with team goals
- Analyze team metrics and provide insight on significant shifts/trends to leadership
- Generate periodic reports on membership trends
- Participate in regular audits of the membership database to identify and correct errors or anomalies
- Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals
- Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values
Skills
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years' experience in data entry, billing, or cash application
- Proficient in MS Office system and applications
- Skilled in working in a team environment
- Ability to learn new processes in a timely manner
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and gain the trust of others
- Skilled in adjusting style and approach to situations involving changing tasks, shifting priorities, and member demands
- Ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others, motivate/influence others to action that drive business impact and alignment
- Ability to analyze processes and membership data for process improvement
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to calculate figures to ensure balances are correct
- Skilled in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or identify patterns, relationships, and actionable insights
- Skilled in working independently, prioritizing, and following through on assignments with minimal direction
- Ability to notice discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information
- Skilled at identifying what needs to be done and proactively completes tasks
- 1+ years' experience in membership services industry preferred
- 1+ years' experience in process improvement
