As a Media Planner at EssenceMediacom, you will support the development and execution of media plans while fostering strong relationships with clients and partner agencies to ensure seamless media strategy execution. Responsibilities - Day to day for some client contacts across accounts - Nurture relationships with and work directly with client partner agencies i.e. creative - Build positive relationships with client contacts - Assist in development and presentation of plans, in conjunction with senior planners - Ability to develop smaller plans and execute with minimal management direction - Ability to keep track of developed campaigns and be able to speak about them to client and senior management - Capable of independently completing reports with little management guidance; adept at transforming narrative and statistics provided by vendors and teams into actionable insights - Ensure team deadlines are met - Ability to provide communication response in a timely manner, especially to clients - Oversee all media accounting, and administrative duties required on assigned accounts including monthly media expenditure reports (BCRs) - Traffic campaigns to specialist teams - Work with AdOps and Account Manager to ensure all site tagging is complete prior to campaign launch - Ensure checks are done when creative is received or when preview links are provided by teams - Carry out buy brief meetings with Investment Team - Ability to take detailed notes for meetings and provide contact reports - Access appropriate research as it applies to clients’ needs, using proprietary tools - Effectively work with Finance, Investment Team, Traffic and other internal groups in order to ensure that client activity is in good order Skills - 1-3 years media planning/buying experience - Post-secondary degree, specialization in Advertising and/or Marketing an asset - Strong customer service skills - Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills - Solid collaborative and team work oriented skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Solid interpersonal skills - Detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines - Detail, accuracy and mathematical competency a must - Strong computer skills with a particular emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint - Ability to manage and meet multiple demands within timelines - Desire to develop and excel in their media career and a passion for all things media - Ability to develop smaller plans and execute with minimal management direction - Capable of independently completing reports with little management guidance; adept at transforming narrative and statistics provided by vendors and teams into actionable insights - Ability to provide communication response in a timely manner, especially to clients - Ability to take detailed notes for meetings and provide contact reports - Access appropriate research as it applies to clients' needs, using proprietary tools - Effectively work with Finance, Investment Team, Traffic and other internal groups in order to ensure that client activity is in good order - Begin to develop presentation skills Benefits - Competitive medical - Group retirement plans - Vision - Dental insurance - Significant paid time off - Preferential partner discounts - Employee mental health awareness days Company Overview - Intelligent growth in the AI era.
