Job Description: We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting and Systems team at Starbucks. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of complex accounting functions, driving process improvements, and providing exceptional support to our global business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare revenue-related month-end P&L analytics for individual business units, collaborating closely with finance and local market teams to support month-end reporting. Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for individual business units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations. Review and monitor automated journal entries and reconciling accounts for reasonableness and accuracy, evaluating manual processes and recommending automation opportunities. Perform daily and weekly reconciliations and reviews of sales transactions to bank deposits, providing cross-functional accounting consultation on various ad-hoc projects and new initiatives. Recommend and implement ideas and innovations to improve existing systems, processes, and procedures affecting month-end and quarter-end financial close, account analysis preparation, and financial reporting. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). 2+ years of experience in accounting at a professional level, including journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting, and analysis (or equivalent experience). Attention to detail, with a drive to implement process improvements and controls. Intermediate-level problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial results to individuals at various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner.
