GS1 US is a small company with a world-class culture that impacts the way the world does business. As an Inside Sales Advisor on the Business Development Team, you will engage current business customers and drive revenue through conferences, sponsorships, training, and education services.
Responsibilities
- Engage current GS1 US business customers to promote conference attendance, sponsorship opportunities, training, education services, and other offerings aligned with organizational goals
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Education and Training, Events, and Community Engagement to develop outreach campaigns and lead generation initiatives
- Serve as a conduit between members and internal teams by sharing customer feedback with QA, product development, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to improve products and services
- Apply a consultative selling approach to nurture relationships and contribute to sustainable revenue growth over time
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust with customers over the phone

- Understand the consultative sales approach required to support longer sales cycles
- Comfortable engaging members in meaningful conversations about conferences, sponsorships, training, and education services
- Naturally curious and motivated to understand a small but complex organization and the various industries served
- Experience in inside sales, service-based selling, or training program sales
- Comfortable working from qualified leads
- Leverage soft sales skills to uncover needs and drive engagement
