Freelance Video Editor (US-Based/1099) B2B Marketing Content – Canva + Editing Software

We're looking for a freelance video editor to support ongoing B2B content needs — from short-form social videos to product tutorials and event recaps. Our clients are primarily in the healthcare and health tech space, so a professional, brand-forward editing style is key. This is a flexible, project-based role with an emphasis on speed, clarity, and brand alignment. What we're looking for: —B2B video editing experience: You know how to tell a concise, engaging story that supports business messaging — whether that’s cutting a webinar clip down to 60 seconds or polishing a thought leadership video for LinkedIn. —Canva video experience: We regularly use Canva for quick, branded video edits (think: motion graphics, captions, social-first aspect ratios). You should be comfortable creating video in Canva as well as managing brand templates. —Proficiency in editing software: You’re skilled in tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve for more advanced editing. —Brand-driven storytelling: You understand how to keep visuals, transitions, and music aligned with a client’s tone and message — and you're comfortable following brand guidelines (or helping define a video style within them). —US-based and responsive during business hours: Timely communication is key for our workflow, especially on quick-turn assignments or client reviews. Scope: — Edit short-form videos for social (15–90 seconds), including resizing, captioning, and light motion — Cut and polish long-form videos (3–10 minutes) such as interviews, explainers, and product tutorials. — Work from raw footage, screen recordings, and/or Canva projects — Add music, branded graphics, and call-to-action overlays as needed — Occasionally advise on best formats, aspect ratios, and visual hooks for content To apply, please send us: — A few video samples (especially short-form social or B2B product clips) — A short note about your availability, location, and preferred editing tools — Your typical hourly or project-based rate We're excited to collaborate with a creative partner who’s fast, thoughtful, and comfortable working across platforms.
