We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our Cyber Security Data Science organization, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and improving automated data pipelines to support multiple data security use cases. About the Lead Data Engineer Role In this critical position, you will leverage your expertise in building data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and Spark, as well as your experience in managing data in a governed and controlled environment. Your primary responsibilities will include leading complex projects with significant impact, acting as a key player in large-scale software programs planning for the Technology area, and designing, developing, and running tooling to identify issues in data and systems. You will also review and analyze complex software enhancement projects for business, operational, or technical improvements and make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring expertise in software package options and programming languages. Key Responsibilities: Lead complicated tasks with huge impact and act as a key player in big-scale software programs making plans for the Technology area Design, develop, and run tooling to find out troubles in data and programs and document the troubles to engineering and product leadership Review and examine complicated software program enhancement tasks for business, operational or technical enhancements that require extensive assessment of more than one element consisting of intangibles or extraordinary elements Make selections in complicated and multi-faceted data engineering conditions requiring know-how of software program bundle alternatives and programming language and compliance necessities that have an effect on and lead Technology to satisfy deliverables and pressure organizational change Strategically collaborate and talk with inner companions to clear up noticeably volatile data engineering challenges Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills. The essential qualifications include: 3+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent proven through one or an aggregate of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 2+ years of Programming language: Spark, Python, or PySpark In addition to these essential qualifications, the following are preferred: Strong understanding of Information Security domains including DLP, IAM, and vulnerability management Experience implementing and supporting complex Airflow DAGs Experience with diverse data formats including YAML, JSON, Parquet, and XML Experience working directly with data security datasets, metrics, and reporting On-premise Hadoop distributions (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR) and public cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) experience Strong understanding of cluster technology and clustered services Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel as a Lead Data Engineer at Wells Fargo, you will need to possess a unique blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
