Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team in Washington State. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in resolving issues and providing exceptional service to healthcare providers and their staff. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position, with flexibility to work from home and occasional overtime may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls from healthcare providers and identify the type of assistance needed, such as benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, or explanation of benefits
- Focus on resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide an appropriate response to the caller
- Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff
- Complete documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
- Skilled in problem-solving to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as primary job tools
- Prior healthcare experience
Telecommuting Requirements
To work remotely, you will need to:
- Reside within Washington State
- Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Have a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- Adhere to arenaflex's Telecommuter Policy
What We Offer
At arenaflex, we offer a competitive hourly range of $16.00 to $28.85 per hour, based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
