About the position The Veterinary Product and Compliance Specialist role at Boehringer Ingelheim involves addressing product inquiries, complaints, and adverse events related to veterinary products. This position requires compliance with US regulations and company policies while providing technical support and maintaining high standards of customer service in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities • Receive all product inquiries, complaints, and suspected adverse events related to BIVI products. • Communicate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, consumers, and sales personnel primarily via telephone, email, and mail. • Provide information on proper product use, adverse events, and product defects. • Maintain technical and clinical expertise related to BIVI products through continuous learning. • Document all communications in the BIVI Validated Database (PVWorks) according to compliance requirements. • Ensure timely communication and adherence to BIVI SOPs, escalating issues to Technical Services Veterinarians as necessary. • Support sales representatives by providing technical support and attending veterinary conferences. • Research topics and prepare reports as requested by management. • Participate in call analysis and report trends or issues regarding product usage. • Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Requirements • Strong customer service background with a commitment to excellence. • Understanding of regulatory compliance in a customer service environment. • Knowledge of basic veterinary practice issues and procedures. • Attention to detail and quality-focused with strong technical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team. • Excellent organization and time management skills. • Ability to manage conflict and balance business needs with user-friendliness. • Ability to work independently under pressure, demonstrating initiative and flexibility. • Experience in the animal health or related industry and/or regulatory experience is a plus. • Associate Degree or higher in Life Sciences or Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary clinic. Benefits • Competitive pay rate of $20-25/hour depending on education and experience. • Hybrid work environment with on-site requirements 2-3 days per week. • 12-month W2 contract with the option to extend.
