Webflow Agency Technical Director / CTO (Fractional or Part-Time)

About Us Prompt is a digital studio (and Webflow Premium Enterprise Partner) that builds conversion-focused websites for B2B tech companies. Our clients include cybersecurity startups, enterprise SaaS providers, and VC-backed growth-stage companies who need to stand out – typically with compressed timelines and high expectations. We’re a small but seasoned leadership team, now seeking a technical partner to complement our capabilities and help us scale with a strong technical foundation. This is a fractional or part-time opportunity with the potential for equity participation. About the Role We’re seeking a hands-on, strategic CTO or Technical Lead who can: • Lead technical direction across Webflow development, CMS architecture, and integrations • Scope complex projects and advise on build strategies and best practices • Collaborate with leadership to evolve our offerings, processes, and technical roadmap • Improve internal tooling, QA processes, accessibility standards, and performance workflows • Support and mentor internal dev resources and external dev partners • Act as a strategic peer, with input on both client and internal priorities Required Experience • 5+ years in web development and front-end technical leadership • Expert-level familiarity with Webflow – including the latest platform enhancements as they continue evolving as a WXP (Website Experience Platform) • Direct experience working at or with a Webflow-focused digital agency • Strong understanding of website performance optimization, technical SEO, AEO, accessibility, and QA • Comfort communicating with creative, strategic, and client stakeholders • Experience with modern tooling (apps, automation tools, integrations) Nice to Have • Past experience as an agency co-founder, CTO, or technical lead • Experience mentoring or building technical teams • Passion for internal tooling, process automation, and systems architecture • Interest in AI tooling, low-code app creation Why This Role • Help shape the future of a lean, growing, client-first agency • Fun, trusting, zero-politics work environment • Flexible hours and fully remote • Equity-sharing potential for long-term partnership • Projects you can be proud of – strategic, high-visibility work with smart clients How to Apply Please submit your resume, including a note outlining your relevant experience – especially work at Webflow agencies or in leadership roles.
