Temporary People Operations Specialist, Compensation

Description: • lead the migration of compensation benchmarking data from PayScale’s legacy platform to the new PayFactors system. • This role requires advanced technical expertise with PayFactors and strong Excel skills to ensure accurate transfer, validation, and analysis of compensation data for all unique positions. • The specialist will work closely with People Operations to streamline the transition, maintain data integrity, and support compensation benchmarking needs during the migration period. Requirements: • Candidates must live in the United States. • 3-5 years of **hands-on experience in compensation**, including market pricing, benchmarking, and data analysis.. • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Deep **expertise with PayFactors**, including benchmarking, job matching, reporting, and data management. • Strong **understanding of compensation principles**, market pricing, and benchmarking methodologies. • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, data validation, and modeling). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with stakeholders. • Ability to manage complex data migration projects independently and meet tight deadlines. • Ability to identify data inconsistencies, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly. • Ability to balance strategic compensation expertise with hands-on technical execution. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual-first environment and adapt to shifting priorities. • Familiarity with PayScale’s legacy system and its data structures. • A passion for higher education is a plus.
