This opportunity seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with Telemetry expertise to support patient care in an acute care specialty unit. The role requires demonstrated skills in telemetry nursing and the ability to manage critically ill patients with multiple monitoring needs. This contract position offers the chance to work a night shift schedule within a dedicated team in a hospital setting. Location: El Dorado, KS (with assignment at a nearby acute care specialty unit’s facility) Schedule/Hours: • Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM Key Responsibilities: • Deliver direct nursing care to telemetry patients, including those with central lines and medication drips • Monitor vital signs and telemetry data accurately, using PCA and IV pumps • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Maintain thorough patient documentation in the Meditech EMR system • Adhere to unit-specific guidelines and policies to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes Qualifications and Experience: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license • Proficient in Telemetry nursing • BLS certification required • Skilled in handling acute care telemetry equipment such as PCA and IV pumps • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills • Independent, engaged attitude with positive interpersonal skills Work Environment: This unit in a reputable healthcare facility features a 29-bed telemetry unit staffed by a skilled team of RNs and Patient Care Technicians.
