Systems Engineer

We're looking for a skilled and adaptable Systems Engineer to join our tight-knit team. In this role, you’ll support escalated technical issues, contribute to ongoing projects, and assist with day-to-day system operations and maintenance. This position requires someone who can wear multiple hats, take ownership of their work, and contribute to a team culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Your day-to-day will consist of: Managing and resolving escalated support tickets Participating in ongoing infrastructure and migration projects Contributing to planning and implementation of systems improvements Handling ad-hoc technical duties as they arise Supporting other team members as needed Logging billable hours accurately in the ticketing system Living our core values — See it Through, Raise the Bar, Do the Right Thing, Lift Others Up KPI’s: There are currently no fixed KPI metrics, but success is measured through: Accurate time tracking within the ticketing system Adherence to company values, which can be viewed on our website Supervisor feedback based on performance and behaviour: See it Through Raise the Bar Do the Right Thing Lift Others Up Each of these are evaluated as either an Area of Strength or an Area of Focus. Required Experience/ Skills: Experience/Knowledge Requirements – Essential: Microsoft 365 Stack Entra Exchange Intune SharePoint (configuration/migration) Azure framework/design experience Virtualization Platforms (experience with at least one): Nutanix, VXRail, XCP, Proxmox, vCenter, or Hyper-V Containerization & Kubernetes Enterprise Backup Solutions (e.g. Veeam, Datto, Commvault) Favorably Considered: Process Control Networks (PLC/SCADA) MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) SharePoint workflows and design Scripting knowledge in Python, Go, or PowerShell Linux CLI and services Experience with Storage solutions Soft Skills We’re looking for someone who is: A strong communicator — written and verbal Adaptable and ready for a fast-paced environment where every day is different A team player with a “give and take” mentality Confident thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative Comfortable with light humour and able to contribute to a healthy team dynamic Originally posted on Himalayas
