Summer Camp Employment
The Town of Whitby is dedicated to its community and is seeking a Camp Counsellor to positively impact its corporate culture. The successful candidate will supervise children, lead activities, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers. Responsibilities Supervising and working with groups of children, or one-on-one Leading campers through a number of activities including games, sports and crafts Promote a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all campers and staff Ensuring the safety of all campers by providing emergency or first-aid assistance when required Other duties as assigned Skills Applicants must be at least 16 years of age Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certifications A valid Police Criminal Record Check to work with the Vulnerable Sector Demonstrated leadership experience Past work or volunteer experience assisting children with special needs Completion of a C.I.T Certificate or L.I.T Certificate will be considered an asset Enrollment in a Pre-Service Firefighter Program would be considered an asset Company Overview The Town of Whitby is a lakefront community that is home to more than 128,000 residents and more than 2,200 businesses.
