Sports Consultant – Community Partnerships

Future Tech Leaders is a youth tech education nonprofit 501c3 dedicated to teaching students practical, real-world technology skills and exposing students to real-world technology careers and increasing diversity in tech. As we expand into the sports + technology ecosystem, we are seeking an experienced Sports Consultant to help us build partnerships, grow brand awareness, and create impactful programs that engage youth and highlight how sports intersects with technology. Role Description This consultant will play a key role in shaping Future Tech Leaders’ entry into the sports space, advising on how sports organizations and sports-tech companies can engage in meaningful, authentic community impact through technology education. Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic guidance on community impact and social responsibility initiatives within sports and sports technology • Support development of partnerships with sports teams, leagues, sports tech startups, and related organizations • Help design and advise on youth-focused sports-tech exposure experiences (tech days, panels, activations, etc.) • Advise on messaging and positioning for sports-related initiatives and collaborations • Ensure community impact efforts align with industry best practices and measurable outcomes Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree a plus) in Sports Management, Business, Communications, Public Policy, Technology, or a related field • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: • Sports industry (teams, leagues, athletic organizations) • Sports technology companies or startups • Community impact, CSR, ESG, or social responsibility programs • Nonprofit or foundation work connected to sports or youth development • Demonstrated experience working with partnerships, programs, or initiatives that create measurable community or social impact • Strong understanding of the intersection of sports, technology, and community engagement • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills This is a contract, part-time role with a flexible schedule.
