About the position The Zaxbys Support Center is looking for a Risk Management Specialist to join the Legal Services team. The Risk Management Specialist will support the Company and the Legal Services Department by bringing focused attention to the safety and health of Zaxby's team members and guests. This position is based in Atlanta, GA area and allows for a hybrid work schedule that includes 3 in-office days per week. Responsibilities • Report claims to RiskConnect and GB • Coordinate communication between stores and adjusters • Review video footage and send to adjusters • Assist with presenting the claims section on the Management Basics presentation • Communicate with adjusters to determine claim status • Track when employees are out on WC LOA and when they return • Coordinate with HR and store management to determine is light duty restrictions can be accommodated • Review WC and GL data to ensure incidents are being reported fully so that future reports reflect accurate data • Prepare Serious Claim Review (top 3 largest claims presentation) to determine successes and opportunities • Review reports with RiskConnect and GB to ensure that no claim files are going unreported • Manage the crisis hotline by identifying the issue and store where crisis is being reported from • Coordinate with stakeholders on the appropriate response when necessary • Assist Crisis Assessment Team with coordinating responses for issues that have garnered media attention • Coordinate site visits with District Managers and Carrier Loss Consultant • Work with Operations to determine which stores to visit with Carrier Loss Consultant • Coordinate and create itinerary for site visit with Carrier Loss Consultant • Identify individuals who are authorized to drive a company vehicle and ensure their completion of the driver safety training • Follow up with individuals to ensure the test is completed within 14 days Requirements • Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety regulations and OSHA compliance requirements • Strong understanding of insurance principles, claims management, and loss prevention strategies • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to connect at all levels of organization • Effective organizational skills and keen attention to detail involving documentation, compliance requirements, and claim details • Analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and claims management systems • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Risk Management or related field; or experience in lieu of education requirement • 2-4 years of work experience in risk management or insurance company claims; experience with workers' compensation and general liability claims in restaurant/retail settings a plus Nice-to-haves • experience with workers' compensation and general liability claims in restaurant/retail settings a plus Benefits • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance • Company-paid Disability, Life and Critical Illness insurance • 401K participation with Company match • 50% off meal discount at company-owned locations • Child Care Assistance • Education Assistance Program • Parental Leave • PTO and Company Holidays Apply tot his job
