We're now seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team and drive large-scale process improvements and manufacturing excellence in a remote work environment. The Opportunity As a Senior Process Engineer at Avantor, you'll be responsible for leading all phases of large-scale assigned process or manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring their successful conclusion within the designated timeframe and budget. You'll implement process improvements to meet quality standards, design and conduct feasibility studies, troubleshoot problems, and create necessary documentation to facilitate communication among personnel. This is a full-time remote/virtual position that requires up to 50% travel to support projects, providing you with the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as a resource to other engineers. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage large-scale process improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution Analyze data, identify problems, and develop recommendations to support logistics management and process improvements Conduct research and benchmarking on industry best practices related to warehousing and transportation Interact with process owners and users to gather feedback and verify performance Optimize resources and processes in compliance with company policies and procedures Develop and maintain SOPs and training documents to establish standard work and support new processes and systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and share knowledge and expertise What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong educational foundation and relevant experience in process engineering. Here are the essential qualifications: Education: College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Experience: 5+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and managing projects Experience with warehouse automation is preferred Additional Qualifications: Ability to travel up to 50% to support projects Excellent organizational, project management, and people management skills Strong understanding of logistics and process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean Logistics Effective interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite and advanced skills in software applications such as Access and Visio Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Avantor, we're committed to helping you grow your career and develop new skills.
