Remote Senior Curriculum Developer - STEM

Our client, a leading innovator in online education, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer with a specialization in STEM subjects to join their fully remote team. This role is fundamental in creating engaging, effective, and up-to-date educational content for a global student base. You will be instrumental in shaping the learning experience and ensuring pedagogical soundness across our STEM programs. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and revise high-quality curriculum materials for various STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for K-12 and higher education levels. Create engaging learning objectives, lesson plans, assessments, activities, and multimedia content, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia developers to produce innovative and effective learning experiences. Incorporate research-based pedagogical best practices into curriculum design, focusing on active learning and student engagement. Develop and implement assessment strategies that accurately measure student learning outcomes. Review and evaluate existing curriculum for accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness, making necessary updates and improvements. Manage curriculum development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope. Facilitate online professional development for educators on the effective use of developed curriculum. Stay current with educational technology trends, learning theories, and advancements in STEM fields. Contribute to the development of a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum framework. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in a STEM field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering) or in Education with a strong STEM focus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching within STEM education. Proven expertise in developing engaging and effective learning materials for online or blended learning environments. Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design principles, and assessment methodologies. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Experience in K-12 or higher education curriculum development is highly desirable.
