[Remote] Project Costing Analyst

The Project Costing Analyst is responsible for project costing accounting, reconciliations, and month-end analysis for assigned Yum! brands, working closely with various corporate functions to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Responsibilities Own project costing accounting activities, including project setup, monitoring spend, retirements, journal entries for facility, development, national, and overhead projects Perform timely account reconciliations for assigned brands, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls Support period-end close processes, including preparation of depreciation estimates, expense matrices, software CIP reclasses, and related reporting Ensure adherence to project costing policies by reviewing capitalization, dispositions, capital interest, dead site and pre-capital expenditures, and large-dollar project thresholds Prepare and analyze project-related financial data, including fixed asset disposals and property loss claim setups and accruals Assist with internal, SOX, and external audit requests by providing documentation, analysis, and reconciliations Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related Finance field 1-3 years of experience in property accounting, general accounting, or account reconciliation Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar ERP systems preferred) Benefits Medical Dental Vision Legal Accidental death and dismemberment FSA/HSA Short-term disability Long-term disability Life insurance 401(k) plan 4 weeks of vacation Paid sick leave 10 paid holidays A floating day off 2 paid days for volunteer time each calendar year Company Overview Yum!
