Job Description Econet Wireless Zimbabwe is seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to join our growing remote team as an Ecommerce Product Review Moderator. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of our online platforms by ensuring that all product reviews and user-generated content adhere to our community guidelines, terms of service, and brand standards. As the digital landscape continues to evolve and customer feedback becomes increasingly vital, your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality will directly impact our brand reputation and customer trust. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location within Rusape, Manicaland Province, contributing to a leading organization while enjoying the autonomy of a home-based setup. You will be at the forefront of protecting our online image, sifting through a high volume of reviews, identifying inappropriate content, and making swift, accurate decisions to either approve, reject, or escalate reviews as necessary. This role requires a strong understanding of online etiquette, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently within a structured framework. We are looking for someone who is not only proficient in identifying problematic content but also understands the nuances of constructive criticism versus spam or abuse. Your daily tasks will involve reading and assessing numerous reviews across our various e-commerce offerings, ensuring they provide value to prospective customers and reflect a genuine user experience. Key Responsibilities • Review and moderate user-generated product reviews, comments, and ratings submitted to our e-commerce platforms. • Ensure all content adheres to company guidelines, terms of service, and legal requirements, including brand safety and intellectual property. • Identify and take appropriate action on spam, offensive language, misinformation, fake reviews, and other inappropriate content. • Maintain consistency in moderation decisions by following established policies and procedures. • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior moderators or relevant internal teams as needed. • Provide constructive feedback and insights to improve moderation tools and guidelines. • Stay informed about current trends in online content moderation and e-commerce best practices. • Generate reports on review trends, moderation volumes, and content quality metrics. Required Skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle nuances in language and content. • Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities. • Proficiency in using online moderation tools and platforms. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive content. • Basic computer literacy and comfort with web-based applications. Preferred Qualifications • 6+ months of experience in content moderation, customer service, or a related field. • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online review systems. • Experience working in a remote team setting. • Knowledge of digital community management principles. • A background in ethical review practices or online reputation management.
