[Remote] ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Geologics Corporation is seeking an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer to support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems. The role involves using PCB design tools, managing libraries, and collaborating with suppliers on design documentation.Responsibilities• Support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems• Using Mentor Graphics Xpedition• Library management practices• ECAD/PCB layout design processes• Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx), or Altium• Library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards• In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques• Communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages• Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition• Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation)Skills• US Citizenship REQUIRED• Active Secret Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a clearance• Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx), or Altium• Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards• In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques• Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages• Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable• Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation)• Associate's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience• A minimum of two years' experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition• Experience with library management practices• Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processesBenefits• No health benefits while on contractCompany Overview• GeoLogics is a 30 year old high-technology and technical services company headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, with regional offices in Alabama, Maryland, South Carolina, Colorado, Texas, California, and Massachusetts.
