They are seeking a Customer Service Specialist I to handle incoming calls, manage patient accounts, and ensure excellent customer service in a supportive remote work environment. Responsibilities Handle a high volume of incoming calls from patients, insurance carriers, and physician offices Collect outstanding patient balances and establish payment arrangements professionally Document payment terms and update patient accounts with new insurance and demographic information Address customer inquiries, disputes, and complaints, escalating issues as necessary Maintain clear documentation of work and follow-up steps in the billing system Skills High school diploma or GED certificate Minimum of 6 months' experience in a physician billing or third-party payer environment Understanding of contracts, insurance benefits, and compliance regulations Ability to navigate the payer adjudication process Experience with patient financial and practice management systems, such as Epic Knowledge of medical terminology Previous call center or claims experience Experience in an academic healthcare setting Benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare and paid time off Company Overview At Prism Data Consulting, we transform raw information into strategic insights.
