Overview Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4.7 million members and $22.9 billion of annual revenues, seeks an accomplished Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Record Review (Hospice) Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Record Review (Hospice) Location: Remote in CA Duration: 3+ Month Contract with possible extension Pay Rate: $50/hr - $54/hr (depending on experience) Schedule: • Monday to Friday, standard business hours • Fully remote within California Must-Have Requirements: • Active RN License (Registered Nurse) • 3+ years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or related care settings • Proven experience with medical record review and audit processes • Familiarity with Medi-Cal and utilization management (UM) procedures • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong hospice and utilization management (UM) background to review hospice medical records. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can efficiently manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make sound clinical decisions. The position is audit-heavy and ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Responsibilities: • Review hospice medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. • Apply knowledge of Medi-Cal and utilization management (UM) procedures to ensure proper review and reporting. • Perform detailed audits and identify areas of improvement or corrective action. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation standards. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting purposes.
