Job Details Job Location: North County, San Diego - San Diego, CA Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 Hourly Description Overview Part-Time Early Childhood Educator Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with special needs? As an Early Childhood Educator, you'll provide in-home services directly to families, becoming a vital part of a child's journey. You'll create and implement individualized plans, communicate with families, and help connect them with resources they need to thrive. What You'll Be Doing Planning & Assessment • Reviews collateral and intake information provided. • Completes intake paperwork, assessments, and reports with identified children and their families. • Develops the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) using assigned curriculum. Home Visits & Implementation • Schedules, plans, and conducts home visits with assigned families to carry out IFSP goals. • Maintains ongoing communication with families and members of the Early Start team to coordinate program services. Documentation & Resource Management • Prepares, collects, and maintains educational information, files, records, case notes, and documentation from outside agencies. • Conducts research related to families' needs for service and provides resources and educational information. Travel & Community Engagement • Travels throughout assigned county (San Diego or Imperial) to complete sessions in family homes and other community locations. Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire. • Must receive a criminal record clearance from the DOJ. • Must have a valid California Driver's license, safe driving record, and have been licensed for at least 2 years. • Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance. • Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already certified (we offer training for new hires). • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language, with Spanish proficiency preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Physical Requirements/Work Environment The work environment for this position involves working with a variety of people in their homes and in the community. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, hear, walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift objects weighing up to ten pounds repeatedly during a shift.
