Nursing Manager (Ambulatory Surgery Center) - BSN and RN License required

About the position Responsibilities • Build and maintain safe policies and patient protocols to ensure efficient operations of Endoscopy services. • Manage and develop a staff of employees through recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, and training. • Communicate job expectations and hold individuals accountable for results. • Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operational information. • Lead others in the achievement of tasks and procedures that deliver on individual and departmental strategy, goals, and tactics. • Oversee/recommend spending related to a department budget, requiring more senior level approval for sign-off. • Provide oversight, training, and direction to employees in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Coach, mentor, and develop staff to ensure departmental compliance. • Oversee new employee onboarding and provide career development planning and opportunities. • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment. • Provide effective performance feedback through a formal performance review process, employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when necessary. • Work with department head to recommend appropriate staffing levels. • Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and overtime scheduling. • Communicate information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communication. • Assist in budget requirements for the unit. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements • At least 5 years of nursing experience with leadership experience at the Assistant Manager level or equivalent (e.g., charge RN, team lead, council chair, project manager). • Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with a BSN. • Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
