We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Remote Medical Scribe to join the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will accurately document patient encounters in real-time, assisting healthcare providers by managing electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services. Job Responsibilities Document Patient Encounters: Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans during patient visits. Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR): Update and maintain patient records in the EHR system, ensuring all information is complete and accurately recorded. Real-Time Data Entry: Enter patient information into the EHR system in real-time, supporting healthcare providers during consultations. Coordinate with Medical Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care and accurate documentation. Assist with Chart Reviews: Review and edit patient charts for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards. Maintain Confidentiality: Handle patient information with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence. Requirements Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems is a plus. Excellent typing and transcription skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Certifications: Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) certification is an advantage but not required. HIPAA certification is preferred Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements: Internet Connection: Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps . Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps . Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage. Primary Device: Desktop or laptop equipped with at least: Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer) , Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer) , AMD Ryzen 5 , or an equivalent processor. A minimum of 8 GB RAM . Backup Device: Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor. Must be functional during power interruptions. Peripherals and Workspace: A functioning webcam . A noise-canceling USB headset . A quiet, dedicated home office space . A smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
