Medical Information Systems Manager

Job Summary The Medical Information Systems & Operations Manager leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of systems, tools, and governance processes that support Medical Information activities. This role ensures compliant, efficient, and scalable operations through effective system management, cross-functional collaboration, vendor oversight, and data-driven reporting. Responsibilities • Lead implementation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of Medical Information systems and tools, including enquiry management, document and reference management, learning systems, dashboards, and internal/external web platforms. • Oversee system governance to ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and Medical Information safe harbor requirements. • Manage lifecycle of Medical Information content across platforms, including posting, updating, and retiring content in accordance with governance standards. • Develop, maintain, and deliver high-quality reporting and analytics to support operational and business needs. • Oversee copyright and permissions management for external content, ensuring documentation and inspection readiness. • Serve as primary point of contact for Medical Information systems operations and governance. • Translate business and user needs into system enhancements and technology solutions; support digital transformation initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (IT, Quality, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations) to ensure alignment and integration. • Manage external vendors delivering Medical Information systems and services. • Maintain and deliver system training and knowledge resources for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MS in Health Informatics, or related advanced degree preferred. • Strong experience in systems management, project leadership, and operational excellence. • Experience with Medical Information and content management systems (e.g., Salesforce-based enquiry systems, Veeva Vault, EndNote, Power BI, SharePoint, web publishing tools). • Working knowledge of GxP validation concepts. • Experience supporting global or multi-regional Medical Information operations.
