Mechanical Drafter 1 - Oil & Gas

Sargent & Lundy is a company specializing in engineering services, and they are seeking a Mechanical Drafter 1 to modify complex drawing diagrams and detailed drawings for oil and gas projects. The role involves providing CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings while ensuring effective communication with project team members and adhering to project deadlines and standards. Responsibilities Provide general drafting CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for O&G projects while expanding knowledge on the application of drafting principles Work under general direction of discipline supervisor in accordance with specific instructions regarding project deadlines, priorities, and budget constraints Utilize company and project drafting standards, adheres to plans and schedules Perform the necessary fieldwork; pulling measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, etc Maintain effective communication with project team members Provide support to other drafters and project team members in order to ensure a complete and timely design deliverable Skills Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, etc. acceptable) Previous drafting and field experience NOT required Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computer-aided design (CAD) and other job related software Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, internal and external customers Ability to prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible Must be able to demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements Associate's degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree) Proficient with AutoCAD/CADWorx 2020 and/or newer versions Attention to detail, time management, consistency, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential Able to travel as necessary for client meetings, job site visits, assist in data gathering, etc Benefits Health Plans: Medical, Dental, Vision Life & Accident Insurance Disability Coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Back-Up Daycare FSA & HSA 401(k) Pre-Tax Commuter Account Merit Scholarship Program Employee Discount Program Corporate Charitable Giving Program Tuition Assistance First Professional Licensure Bonus Employee Referral Bonus Paid Annual Personal/Sick Time (PST) Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Paid Parental Leave Paid Bereavement Leave Flexible Work Arrangements Company Overview Sargent & Lundy is a power generated company that provides technical expertise and integration for global use.
