We are seeking a highly motivated Market Research Analyst II to support strategic business development efforts in the Federal civilian space. This role involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing acquisition trends, and evaluating competitive landscapes to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making. You will deliver timely and accurate intelligence on opportunities, clients, and competitors while maintaining up-to-date records in CRM systems. The position offers the chance to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive measurable results. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in Federal contracting research. Accountabilities: • Conduct comprehensive market research on Federal civilian agencies to identify contracting opportunities and assess program priorities. • Analyze acquisition strategies, customer needs, and industry trends to support business development efforts. • Gather and evaluate competitive intelligence, including strengths, weaknesses, pricing strategies, and differentiators. • Maintain and update CRM systems with opportunity data and provide reports to leadership for strategic planning. • Support capture and proposal teams through data collection, partner identification, and outreach initiatives. • Prepare detailed market research reports, SWOT analyses, and opportunity briefings for internal teams. • Monitor industry publications, agency forecasts, and acquisition portals to identify relevant developments. • Assist with planning and execution of industry days, conferences, and trade shows as needed. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Political Science, Economics, or related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience in market research, competitive analysis, or business development in the Federal civilian contracting space. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work independently in a remote setting. • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to attain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in Federal civilian market research or competitive intelligence. • Familiarity with specific agencies such as DHS, HHS, VA, USDA, DOE, or Treasury. • Experience supporting capture/proposal processes and preparing opportunity assessments or SWOT analyses. • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and pipeline management. • Demonstrated professional writing and reporting skills.
