Managing Editorial Assistant - Penguin Workshop (Open to Remote)

About the position Responsibilities • Provide general administrative support to the Managing Editorial department, including setting up meetings and maintaining calendars. • Set up and maintain title metadata and schedules in SAP and FileMaker Pro. • Approve covers for distribution and disseminate information regarding production schedules, on-sale dates, and prices. • Coordinate reprint corrections and ensure accuracy in production. • Create barcodes and review eBooks for formatting, content accuracy, and overall quality. • Review contract status and royalty rates, and download files for various divisional needs. • Attend weekly production meetings with Editorial, Copyediting, Design, and Production departments. Requirements • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across various departments. • Superb organizational and time management skills. • Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Nice-to-haves • Passion for children's books and eagerness to learn about the bookmaking process.
