Job Overview We are seeking a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide remote mental health and behavioral health services. This role involves delivering comprehensive psychotherapy, case management, and clinical assessments to diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors. The LICSW will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients with various mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and complex medical needs. The position offers flexibility to work remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. • Perform clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake procedures for new clients. • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, or other chronic conditions. • Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records, medical history, treatment progress, and clinical notes. • Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health interventions and behavioral health outcomes. • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and community care providers. • Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management techniques. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and maintain confidentiality of all patient information. • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in psychopharmacology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and other relevant medical documentation practices. Requirements • Valid LICSW license or equivalent in the state of practice. • Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or behavioral health services. • Strong background in working with children, families, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and geriatric populations. • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology related to mental health care. • Experience with crisis management, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and working within hospital or community care settings preferred. • Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation tools such as ICD coding (ICD-9/10) and CPT coding is advantageous. • Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop effective treatment strategies remotely. • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional ethics in all aspects of service delivery.
