Lead Trading Systems Engineer (USA)

We are seeking an experienced technologist to lead and enhance our firm’s technology infrastructure. This individual will oversee multiple technology teams, ensuring the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient systems that meet our growing computational demands and cybersecurity priorities. The role requires strong leadership, cross-team collaboration, and a strategic mindset to drive infrastructure improvements across the organization. Responsibilities • Design, build, and enhance core infrastructure systems that support trading, research, and operations, including integration with the firm’s Order Management System (OMS). • Evaluate existing systems to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that enhance scalability, performance, and security. • Lead and mentor technology teams, promoting best practices in software engineering, system design, and performance optimization. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives and define a long-term infrastructure roadmap. • Oversee the development, integration, and deployment of systems and tools in C++/Python/Java/Linux environments. • Ensure seamless implementation of new technologies while maintaining system reliability and uptime. • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually drive innovation and efficiency. • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field. • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience building and optimizing large-scale systems in C++, Python, or Java within Linux environments. • Proven track record of architecting and scaling infrastructure in high-performance or distributed computing settings. • Proven experience designing, implementing, or supporting Order Management Systems (OMS) or comparable trading infrastructure • Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of systems architecture, networking, and security fundamentals. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. • Experience in the financial industry is a plus but not necessary • Competitive salary plus bonus based on individual and company performance. • Collaborative, casual, and friendly work environment. • PPO Health, dental and vision insurance premiums fully covered for you and your. dependents. • Pre-tax commuter benefits. • Weekly company meals Trexquant is an Equal Opportunity Employer Apply tot his job
