About the role We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Team Lead with deep expertise in Workday , particularly within Finance and Account Management modules , including Inventory Management , Accounts Payable , Expenses , and Procurement . This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to design, implement, and optimize Workday Finance solutions that align with business goals. What you'll do Work closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements, identify improvement areas, and translate business needs into Workday configurations and integrations. Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, efficient solutions within Workday Financials - particularly Inventory Management, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Expenses , and related submodules. Serve as the technical point of contact for Workday Finance modules and drive the resolution of issues or enhancements. Lead and mentor a team of Workday developers and analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors to ensure data consistency and integration across systems. Define and enforce best practices in Workday development, change management, and system governance. Maintain system integrity by performing routine audits and ensuring compliance with security and financial regulations. Lead or support Workday releases, testing, and change adoption activities. Contribute to the strategic planning of Workday initiatives and roadmap development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including configuration and support of: Accounts Payable (AP) Inventory Management Procurement Expenses Supplier Accounts 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role, with proven experience mentoring and guiding teams. Strong understanding of Workday architecture, business processes, EIBs, Calculated Fields, Core Connectors, Studio Integrations, and reporting tools. Experience working in an Agile or iterative delivery environment. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualification Workday certifications in Finance or Integration-related modules. Experience in Workday tenant management, release testing, and change control processes. Exposure to financial regulations and internal controls (e.g., SOX).
