We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Client Specialist to join our team. This quota-carrying role is focused on inbound sales—qualifying, quoting, and closing new applications from core accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, exceptional collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of scope development for complex solutions. This role is pivotal to our sales cycle and has a significant downstream impact on project execution and turnaround time. You will work closely with technical reviewers and project managers to ensure accurate qualification and quoting, enabling seamless project delivery. Responsibilities - Qualify inbound opportunities from core accounts through detailed technical discovery and needs assessment - Develop scopes of work and provide accurate, timely quotes for complex technical applications - Close new business by aligning solutions with customer needs and demonstrating value. - Collaborate cross-functionally with technical reviewers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions - Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, quotes, and closed deals in CRM systems - Meet or exceed sales quotas and performance metrics related to sales activities. - Continuously improve qualification and quoting processes to enhance turnaround time and project success   #LI-TS1 Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in food production, food retail, or a related industry - Proven success in a quota-carrying sales role with a focus on inbound leads. - Strong technical aptitude and ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences - Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills - Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills - Willingness and ability to travel as needed - Deep understanding of complex technical products and services. Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate customer needs into viable solutions. Skilled in scope development and solution configuration - Proven ability to qualify, quote, and close inbound opportunities. Strong understanding of sales cycles and quota attainment strategies. Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously with precision and urgency - Clear, concise, and persuasive in both written and verbal communication. Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Active listener who can uncover customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly - Highly organized with a methodical approach to qualification and quoting. Ensures accuracy in documentation, pricing, and scope definition. Understands the downstream impact of early-stage sales activities on project execution and turnaround time - Demonstrates a proactive approach to sales opportunities, lead generation, and problem-solving Salary Range: $60,000 - $130,000 The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
