Are you a passionate Software Engineer with a focus on data infrastructure? Reddit is actively seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team. In this role, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of large-scale distributed data systems.We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative individual who is excited to take on the challenge of designing and developing systems to support Reddit's ever-evolving data infrastructure needs. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of distributed systems, data storage and retrieval, and software development. You should also have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on data infrastructure, and a proven ability to develop, maintain, and debug complex systems.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience and a track record of success leading the development of distributed systems. Additionally, you should have experience in distributed data stores such as Cassandra and Hadoop, and a solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure and can work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
