About the Role The Analytics team at Lithic empowers the organization with data-driven insights and scalable solutions. We sit within the engineering division and manage a self-serve business intelligence ecosystem, provide dedicated support to key teams, and build data products that drive internal and external decision-making. Our analytics data model, built in DBT and Snowflake, enables accurate reporting, dashboards, and deep analysis. As a Staff Analytics Engineer at Lithic, you'll be the bridge between our Finance team and our data infrastructure. You'll partner closely with all divisions of Finance (accounting, controllership, financial planning & analysis) to develop a strategic analytics roadmap and build sophisticated data models that illuminate our financial operations and performance. What You'll Do Develop and maintain financial data models that provide clear visibility into business performance metrics Own and evolve our billing engine, supporting monthly customer billing processes and enhancing tooling to make it more intuitive and self-serve Lead initiatives to streamline month-end close procedures through data automation and validation Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for margin improvements or operational efficiencies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement through analytics engineering Establish best practices for financial data governance and documentation What You'll Bring Proven experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or similar technical roles with exposure to financial systems Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive projects forward with minimal oversight Strong SQL skills with experience in modern data warehouse environments (Snowflake is preferred) Experience with DBT or similar data transformation frameworks Experience with Python and version control workflows (Git) Experience supporting finance teams, working with financial data models and financial concepts Our Ideal Candidate You thrive on ownership and approach problems at a goal level rather than a task level.
