Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Informatica Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS), and Snowflake. This role focuses on migrating legacy ETL pipelines to cloud-based solutions on Azure and optimizing Snowflake data warehouse performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual contributor with expertise in data migration, metadata management, and performance tuning, capable of working independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows to Informatica Cloud (IICS) on Azure
- Redesign and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for cloud scalability and performance
- Perform end-to-end development, testing, and validation of migrated data pipelines
- Analyze and clean up Snowflake metadata and unused objects
- Optimize Snowflake performance and cost using metadata (ACCOUNT_USAGE, INFORMATION_SCHEMA)
- Monitor and fine-tune query performance and warehouse utilization
- Collaborate with architects, operations, and cross-functional teams
- Support deployment planning and ensure smooth handoff to support teams
- Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer artifacts
Required Skills:
- 10–12+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter (ETL development)
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC) migration
- Strong expertise in Snowflake (SnowSQL, metadata, performance tuning)
- Experience with Snowflake metadata analysis and optimization
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills (ETL/ELT concepts)
- Experience with Azure cloud platform (preferred but highly desired)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as an individual contributor
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory / Azure Data Lake
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Git
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core)
- Experience working with distributed/global teams
