Project Title: Technical SEO Specialist: Fix Keyword Cannibalization & Local Landing Page Rankings
Project Overview:
I run a commercial refrigeration service in Washington state (AllBrands Refrigeration). Currently, our high-volume blog content is competing with our core service "Hub" pages and local landing pages (cities like Tacoma, Olympia, Federal Way, etc.). This keyword cannibalization is preventing our primary service pages from ranking in local search results.
I am looking for an Expert Technical SEO to perform a "Content Pruning" and "Consolidation" project to restore the authority of our main service pages and ensure our local landing pages satisfy Google’s 2026 quality standards.
Scope of Work:
1. Content Audit & Cannibalization Mapping (Est. 5-7 hrs)
Perform a deep audit of ~40 existing blog posts related to "Walk-In Cooler/Freezer Repair."
Map each blog post to a "Keep," "Merge," or "Delete" status based on current traffic and ranking potential.
Identify the "Power Page" (our Hub) that should be the primary ranking target for the core keywords.
2. Content Consolidation & 301 Redirects (Est. 8-10 hrs)
Manually merge the most valuable technical information from the "to-be-deleted" blogs into the main Walk-In Cooler/Freezer Services hub page.
Implement permanent 301 redirects for all consolidated blog URLs to the hub page to preserve "link juice."
Update the internal linking structure so remaining blog posts use exact-match anchor text pointing to the Hub.
3. Local Landing Page "De-Duplication" (Est. 1 hr per city page)
Optimize city-specific pages (Olympia, Tacoma, Auburn, etc.) to ensure they are not "doorway pages."
Add unique local signals: local zip codes, neighborhood landmarks, and localized schema.
Implement LocalBusiness and Service schema (JSON-LD) for each specific location.
4. Technical Indexing & Sitemap Management (Est. 2-3 hrs)
Correct the XML sitemap hierarchy (Priorities: Home 1.0, Service Hubs 0.9, Local Pages 0.8, Blogs 0.5).
Audit Google Search Console for "Crawled - Currently not indexed" errors on local pages.
Force a re-crawl of the new site structure and monitor indexing status.
