As this work accelerates, we’re expanding our recruiting team with a dedicated Senior Technical Recruiter focused on Life Sciences and Neurotech. Role Overview We’re hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle hiring across neurotech, neuroscience, and biotech-adjacent roles. You’ll partner closely with founders, research leads, and scientific leadership to recruit highly specialized talent — often from academic, lab, or research-first environments. This role is ideal for someone who understands that life sciences hiring is different: longer cycles, deeper technical evaluation, interdisciplinary profiles, and candidates who may be transitioning from academia into industry for the first time. ✔️ Responsibilities End-to-End Life Sciences Recruiting • Own the full recruitment lifecycle for roles, including: • Neuroscientists and applied / computational neuroscientists • Neurotechnology and BCI engineers • Research engineers and scientific software engineers • ML engineers working on biological or neural data • Biotech and bio-AI researchers • Research leadership and scientific founders Research & Neurotech Hiring • Lead hiring for research-heavy, interdisciplinary teams spanning: • Brain-computer interfaces (BCI) • Neural signal acquisition, processing, and decoding • Computational neuroscience and bioinformatics • AI/ML applied to biological systems • Recruit across labs, startups, research institutes, and academia-to-industry pipelines • Partner with teams translating foundational research into applied products Talent Sourcing & Engagement • Source and engage talent through: • Research networks and lab communities • Academic pipelines and conference circuits • LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Scholar, arXiv, and research forums • Neurotech, neuroscience, and biotech conferences and meetups • Build long-term relationships with hard-to-reach, highly specialized candidates Stakeholder Partnership • Work closely with founders, research leads, and scientific leadership to: • Translate research goals into hiring plans • Calibrate profiles across science, engineering, and product. Advise on competitive compensation and market dynamics Market Intelligence & Pipelines • Build and maintain proactive pipelines across life sciences and neurotech. Track trends in: • Research talent mobility • Academia-to-industry transitions • Compensation norms and role evolution • Act as a strategic advisor on life sciences hiring strategy Qualifications Required: • 5+ years of recruiting experience • Demonstrated experience recruiting within life sciences, neurotech, neuroscience, biotech, or research-driven environments • Proven ability to recruit: • Researchers and scientists • Interdisciplinary technical profiles • Candidates transitioning from academia into industry • Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, fully remote environments Strongly Preferred: • Direct experience recruiting for: • Neurotechnology or BCI companies • Neuroscience or computational biology teams • Biotech or bio-AI startups • Research labs or scientific institutions • Existing network within neuroscience, neurotech, or biotech research communities • Familiarity with research org structures, grant-funded teams, and lab-based hiring Domain Familiarity: • Neurotech: Brain-computer interfaces, neural signal processing, neural decoding • Neuroscience: Applied and computational neuroscience, experimental research • Biotech & Bio-AI: ML applied to biological data, bioinformatics, translational research • Research Environments: Academia-to-industry transitions, lab culture, publication-driven teams Why Join IPTS? • Work with companies advancing neurotechnology, neuroscience, and life sciences innovation • Partner directly with founders and research leaders, shaping new scientific frontiers • Fully remote, globally distributed team with flexible working hours • Culture grounded in rigor, curiosity, and long-term impact
