Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Life & Health Insurance Course Co-Author and Subject Matter Expert. The selected candidate will review, validate, and contribute to the development of educational materials for a New York State Life, Accident & Health insurance pre-licensing course. Key responsibilities include ensuring alignment with current insurance practices and regulatory expectations, and providing subject-matter expertise to support the creation of clear and effective instructional materials. The role will involve reviewing learning objectives, core course content, case studies, and assessment questions to ensure they accurately reflect real-world insurance practice. Collaboration with the company’s instructional design and content development teams to refine and improve course materials will be integral to the role.
Qualifications
• 5–10+ years of professional experience in Life & Health insurance, with strong knowledge of insurance products, policy structures, and applicable regulatory standards
• Active New York Life, Accident & Health, or Property & Casualty insurance license
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and subject-matter contributors
• Experience with training, mentoring, presenting, or teaching insurance-related topics is preferred
• Comfort using digital tools and technology platforms related to insurance, online education, or content development
• Clean regulatory and professional record
Compensation
• Flat project fee: $2,000
